Mission
The Department of City and Regional Planning aims to train urban and regional planners who can comprehend life and space in order to direct the future, integrate their knowledge with their creative and intellectual identity, and develop themselves with innovations. In order to achieve this goal, Project Based Learning (PBL) method will be applied, which will provide interdisciplinary training in the fundamental fields of Planning Methodology, History, Theory Criticism, Communication-Explanation Techniques, Social-Humanitarian Sciences, Economics and Management Science. The theory lessons will be combined with the studio using the Project Based Learning (PBL) method. It is aimed to enhance students' capacity for observation, problem-solving, problem-identification, and creative thought. It is intended to train students who have knowledge and skills in health-oriented city planning while also being able to think independently and creatively, who can research, question the existing, and aim to transform what they have learned for the benefit of society.
